Ms. Bien is excited to be at Round Lake High School as a first-year teacher. She graduated in 2018 from Wofford College--a small liberal arts school of only 1,500 students in Spartanburg, South Carolina--with a BA in English and certification to teach grades 6-12. After graduation, she returned home to the Buffalo Grove area so that she could give back to the community in which she grew up. Ms. Bien loves Chicago, and she enjoys being close to her family and friends. In addition to reading and writing, Ms. Bien loves to camp, kayak, shop, eat, and watch Netflix with her cat, Wonton. She also tries to travel when she can and was fortunate enough to study abroad in St. Andrews, Scotland during her junior at Wofford. Ms. Bien looks forward to working with the students of Round Lake, and she can be contacted through her district email.
