Russell LaChance

I am Mr. Russ LaChance.  I grew up in the south suburbs of Chicago in the city of Oak Forest.  I went on to earn my BS from Northern Illinois University in 1990, majoring in Math-Math Education and minoring in Biological Science, and went on to earn my MS from Northern Illinois University in 1995, earning my degree in Curriculum and Instruction.  I began this amazing teaching career in the Fall of 1990.  I have taught all types of math classes, from Pre-Algebra to AP Calculus.  I have coached Girls' Volleyball, Boys' Volleyball, Girls' Tennis, the Speech Team, and have been an 'all-level' Girls' Bowling Coach for many years.  I am currently the head Girls' Bowling Coach at Round Lake.  During my career, summertime has led to many opportunities, where I have taught summer school, managed a bowling alley, became certified and ran a floral shop, bartended, and worked at Fermi-Lab.  I was very active in playing volleyball, tennis, and bowling in my spare time.  I enjoy the company of my dog, two cats, and fish, and my Peanuts Collection will always keep my busy.  I began my career as a 'Panther' at a different school, and after all of these years, I am proud to still call myself a 'Panther' of Round Lake.  Life is one gigantic circle!
