Ms. Patricia Kolodziej

I have been a proud Round Lake High School Panther since 1997! I began teaching at RLHS in the fall that followed my spring graduation from Carthage College in Kenosha, Wisconsin.  My formal education began at Salem Grade School, and then I moved onto Westosha Central High School in Paddock Lake, Wisconsin.  I was a "Falcon" for 13 years; as both schools had the same mascot.  My years as a Panther has clearly outnumbered my years as a Falcon, and I will always consider myself to be a Round Lake Panther.  My career at RLHS began with me teaching a variety of Social Studies subjects to students who had learning disabilities.  After many years, I taught History and Geography/Global Studies classes in the general education environment.  I am currently teaching in a self-contained special education classroom as part of the Career Opportunity Program (C.O.P.).  I absolutely love teaching Round Lake students!  One of my other loves is Allied Sports and Panther Pals - clubs that I initiated at RLHS.  Allied Sports allows students who would not be able to compete at a varsity level to complete against students at other schools. Students who participate feel like part of the school.  Panther Pals provides some non-athletic afterschool activities to students with various abilities.  Both clubs integrate student peers - especially with the help of Student Council.  The participants say that they have fun, and I really enjoy watching them have fun.
