What is PBIS?
Pleviak Elementary School is a community that supports Positive Behavior Interventions and Support. Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports (PBIS) is a set of ideas and tools that schools use to improve the behavior of students. At Pleviak, we teach our students expectations that enable them to be positive learners. Our students are working on being Safe, Respectful, and Responsible throughout their time in school. Pleviak uses positive praise and Panther Paws to encourage positive behavior from our students.
Encouraging positive behavior at home is key to your child’s success at school. We encourage and expect a great home-school connection. If you should happen to have any questions about PBIS or your child’s behavior, please contact their classroom teacher and they will be happy to answer any questions you may have. Thank you again for all your support in building your child’s positive educational career while they are a kindergarten student at Pleviak.
