Mrs. Janie Metzger

WELCOME, all new and returning students!  I am so excited to begin the 2022-2023 school year.  Our mission continues to be ."..to provide all children access to a high-quality preschool program that supports a child’s full participation in their community."  Each year we strive to meet this goal by building and improving upon the previous year.  We believe all children can learn when given time, quality instruction, and support.  We believe children learn best when they learn alongside their peers regardless of their abilities or disabilities.  We believe children learn the most when they have access to a variety of play-based experiences.  We also believe that parent participation is key to their child’s success in school.  Our staff is committed to these beliefs and will fully support your child in meeting their academic and social-emotional goals.

I am so proud to serve as your principal and I will continue to work to create the very best preschool environment in which the children, their families, and staff feel welcome, safe, and supported.  I am a wife, mother, and grandmother and I believe children are a gift.  It is the responsibility of the adults in the lives of children, to love and protect, and nurture their development. These beliefs guide how I lead the preschool program, determine how decisions are made for the program, and define how we serve children within the program.  I look forward to the coming school year and to the opportunity to work with you and your child. Please contact me anytime with questions or concerns.

Thank you!

Mrs. Sara Grabow

Hello! My name is Sara Grabow, and I am the Assistant Principal for the Early Education Center. I have been with the early childhood program for twelve years and this is my second year as the assistant principal. Early childhood education is my passion. I began my career volunteering at the Early Education Center when I was in high school. I continued to work in education as a teaching assistant, classroom teacher, and now as an assistant principal. It is my goal to promote family involvement within the school that will lead to a strong foundation for school readiness. I would like to welcome all families into the program and encourage you to ask questions and get involved. I will work with staff and families to ensure a strong connection between both home and school.

As a fellow Round Lake graduate, I know the potential that lies ahead for all students. The Early Education Center is the first step into the school community. I will strive to ensure the experiences here are ones that will excite your child for the possibilities that are still to come. I look forward to meeting all students and their families.

Sincerely,

Sara Grabow, Assistant Principal
