Hello!  My name is Carolyn Ornstead, and I am a self-contained special education teacher at Pleviak.  I have twelve wonderful students and two teaching assistants in my classroom this year.  I attended Northeastern Illinois University for undergrad and graduate school, and I have worked in education for eleven years.  I was a special education associate in Glenview, and am currently in my sixth year teaching in Round Lake.  I live in Grayslake with my husband and daughter, and love spending time with my family.  My favorite foods involve some sort of cheese and/ or chocolate component…yum!  Teaching is my passion, and I love seeing my students learn and grow.  Please feel free to contact me at cornstead@rlas-116.org or (847) 270-9490 EXT. 3538 with any questions or comments.
